Early start to today and load everyone and the luggage into the two cars for the trip to the airport. Guillermo was a few minutes early and got one back on me as Therese and I weren't quite ready. Arrived at the airport early as the traffic was just starting to build. The airport itself was very busy so we were lucky but had time to spare.
Breakfast, check-in then wait for boarding and in the air on time. We had a good flight and actually arrived in Los Angeles about 25 minutes early. Due to time zone changes we arrived at 10:05am local time. Through customs fairly quickly and collected the luggage and headed for the check-ins to get rid of it again. That worked for Marg and Mick who were flying Air New Zealand but we were on a direct flight with Virgin Australia and the first flight out for them wasn't until after 9:00pm so with no staff on deck, we couldn't check-in luggage so we had to cart it around until 3:30pm. After check-in we all headed for the waiting lounge and relaxed or window-shopped for the rest of the day.
Marg and Mick boarded at 9:30pm. We board our Virgin Australia direct flight at 10:15pm but as they have a stop-over in New Zealand we should still be home at 7:05am Thursday, about 3 hours before them.
